Description

In the initial layers of this wallart with violets the violet and purple hues I was using made me think of violets which I normally see growing in a scattered fashion. However, as the painting developed I found myself drawn to bolder colours that defy the common conception of the ‘shrinking violet’.

More About My Wallart with Violets

In this vibrant abstract painting, a symphony of pinks, purples, and yellows dances across the canvas, creating a kaleidoscope of energy and emotion. Swirls of magenta and lavender intermingle with bursts of sunshine yellow, evoking a sense of joy and vitality. The artist’s brushstrokes convey a dynamic rhythm, as if the colours themselves are engaged in a lively dance.

At the center of the composition, clusters of violets emerge, their delicate forms weaving through the vivid tapestry of hues. These violet accents add a touch of elegance and contrast, drawing the viewer’s gaze into the heart of the artwork.

As the eye explores the intricacies of the painting, each glance reveals new layers and dimensions, mirroring the complexity of emotions that the artist seeks to convey. The overall effect is a celebration of life and beauty, captured in a captivating symphony of colours and embodied in a stunning piece of wall art with violets.

Why Have Wallart with Violets

The Common Dog Violet, Viola riviniana, is a delicate wildflower native to the United Kingdom, gracing woodlands, meadows, and hedgerows with its dainty purple-blue blossoms. This diminutive perennial plays a crucial role in supporting biodiversity, serving as a vital food source for various insects. Bees and butterflies, in particular, are drawn to its nectar-rich flowers, contributing to the pollination of surrounding plants and ensuring the continuation of diverse ecosystems.

In the animal kingdom, the Common Dog Violet is an essential component of the habitat, providing sustenance for caterpillars of certain butterfly species like the pearl-bordered fritillary. The intricate relationship between this humble violet and its dependent fauna highlights the interconnectedness of nature.

Beyond its ecological significance, the Common Dog Violet holds a place in British folklore. In the U.K., it’s associated with a myth that claims the flower has the power to reveal hidden treasures. According to the legend, those who possess the violet can perceive faeries and supernatural beings. This mystical connection has woven the Common Dog Violet into the cultural tapestry of the region, adding an enchanting layer to its botanical identity.
